World Theatre Day

Apt day to try get back up to date with this website. Pre-pandemic I was fairly dutiful about posting show details and progress, but some how in the fallout of the last three years that kind of personal post has felt indulgent in a world where so much was being lost and theatre seemed threatened. Time has passed , not yet sure my appetite for in depth thoughts has returned, but feel I need to at least be current with the status of my work.

so in brief a summary of current projects :

Today we start the technical rehearsals for Hamnet at the RSC in the Swan theatre , directed by Erica Whyman. A really exciting adaptation of Maggie O’Farrell’s best selling novel by Lolita Chakrabarti.

This has followed hard on the heels of the environmental Tempest in the RST, directed by Elizabeth Freestone.

I am also working with Alan Farlie on a new immersive exhibition ‘living with death’ for the Humboldt in Berlin .

In May Suzy Eddie Izzard starts her one person version of Great expectations at the Garrick, directed by Celia Cadel with an environment created by me.
