In tec for Vera,Vera,Vera

 Day one of the tec with my set from Goodbye to All That stripped back to weathered ply and the carpet around the edge replaced with grass. There is  a great smell in the theatre which hopefully evokes the playing fields around Sittingbourne that i visited with Jo when we were researching the play. It is set  outside the school and in the kitchen of one of the council house that border the school. i am trying to get the sense of space and sky  against which the action is focused on the ply stage ,  bringing the actors into sharp focus, while not ending up in kitchen sink naturalism.
