Pride and Prejudice 16

It has been great going back to this delightful production, a great creative team and the show given fresh insights with a completely new cast. So although the designs were based around the previous production there was a chance for a new approach to characters such as Mrs Bennet, working with a gifted comic actress like Felicity Montague who played the mother of five on the edge of a genuine nervous breakdown throughout.  So together we made choices on the kind of fabric she might buy , the right degree of inappropriately ‘youthful’ exposure she might make. The results are off on tour until the new year after two weeks of Indian summer in the park.bennetts-in-bonnets
