Licentious Libertine

It has been great fun working on this play , production meetings discussing flying dildos and a chance to really play with theatrical design using screens and flown cloths but fully exposed in the glorious industrial decay of the empty Citz stage. With the clothes we have been able to blur the period, beginning under working light with the cast getting ready and only achieving full periwigs for the meeting with Charles. I have found that skinny jeans and biker boots work well with the period coats and almost look like the new romantics of the period when Stephen Jeffreys  first wrote the play in the 1990s. Martin Hutson is fantastic in his degeneration from charmer to desperate alcoholic unable to walk in a wheel chair. Great review in The Telegraph
